What anime to watch in winter 2023?
Like every other season, this season is also filled with a number of good animes on the line, starting from the sequels like Vinland Saga & Tokyo Revengers to some new sauce like SpyClassroom & Cooking in Another World with my absurd skill.
But I know watching all of them is not everyone’s cup of tea, especially because of the busy schedules. So here we are gonna help you choose and narrow down the list. So without any further delay let’s get into it.

1. Vinland Saga Season 2:
The story has just begun as the Manga readers claim for this breathtaking action series, and as an anime fan we hope it too.
The Vinland Saga season 1 released back in 2019 , was one of the top animes with huge fan following and also swooping for the Anime of the Year at the 6th Anime Trending Awards. The anime is adapted from the Manga series which goes with the same name , written by Makoto Yukimura. The story represents the Viking’s arc and the plot of “Vinland Saga” is defined in MyAnimeList as
” Young Thorfinn grew up listening to the stories of old sailors that had traveled the ocean and reached the place of legend, Vinland. It’s said to be warm and fertile, a place where there would be no need for fighting not at all like the frozen village in Iceland where he was born, and certainly not like his current life as a mercenary. War is his home now. Though his father once told him, “You have no enemies, nobody does. There is nobody who it’s okay to hurt,” as he grew, Thorfinn knew that nothing was further from the truth.

Where to watch Vinland Saga new season 2?
The first season of Vinland Saga showing the slave arc aired 24 episode which was animated by the WitStudios then but the second season is going to be in the Mappa’s bag and damn they are killing with their continuous quality work. With the new season on the list we expect to enter the War arc of the story and see how the the main character “Thorfinn” develops with the time and finds the way through.
Vinland Saga season 2 streaming partners will be Netflix and Crunchyroll and the episodes will start airing from 9th January 2023.
2. Tokyo Revengers : Christmas Showdown
Another sequel on the list this season and if we hear fans out there we have to say a deserving sequel. Airing back in 2021 the anime gained quite a fan following, the story is not so complicated and easy to understand , with a time travel sauce MyAnimeList summarize the anime “Tokyo Revengers” as:
“Takemichi Hanagaki’s second year of middle school was the highest point in his life. He had respect, a gang of friends he could count on, and even a girlfriend. But that was twelve years ago. Today, he’s a nobody: a washed-up nonentity made fun of by children and always forced to apologize to his younger boss. A sudden news report on the Tokyo Manji Gang’s cruel murder of the only girlfriend he ever had alongside her brother only adds insult to injury. Half a second before a train ends his pitiful life for good, Takemichi flashes back to that same day 12 years ago, when he was still dating Hinata Tachibana.
After being forced to relive the very same day that began his downward spiral, Takemichi meets Hinata’s younger brother. Without thinking, he admits to his seeming death before flashing back to the past. Takemichi urges him to protect his sister before inexplicably returning to the future. Miraculously, he is not dead. The Christmas Showdown arc of Tokyo Revenger is one of the most rated arc by the Manga readers and it displays the battle between the Tokyo Manji gang and the 10th generation of the Black Dragon Gang. The arc will also introduce the leaders of the Black Dragon Gang, Taiju Shiba for the first time. All the fans are really hyped up the action packed arc and also the author Ken Wakui has also made up his mind to revive the series after finishing the 30th, final volume back in November 2017 and release the spinoff version by November 2023.
That means the author and the publisher can push much more anime content for the future.

3. Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack
Miss Nagatoro, so interestingly when you search for the literal meaning of Nagatoro you will find that the name signifies strong personalities along with energetic-charismatic-ambitious and focused traits for them. Well, sounds very much like Miss Nagatoro isn’t it 😜, with a crazy fan following and a hell lot of memes coming out of the anime, it’s time to have new materials on the table. The crazy girl is coming back with a second attack for our main character and her Senpai, Naoto.
I know this anime won’t need any introduction but for the starters who are aware of this crazy girl, let’s see the summary of the anime “Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack” as described in MyAnimelist

“One day, Senpai visits the library after school and becomes the target of a super sadistic junior! 4. Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill
Another Mappa masterpiece is on the line in this season and as the name suggests this will be an Isekai with a slice of life theme in its core. The trailer and the plot line of the anime are instantly likable, I mean who doesn’t like food and especially in an Isekai world will be a killer combination to watch. Though something might be a little overboarding the story such as “ The protagonist can order raw materials or utensils for food preparation from the normal world and it delivers magically in the Isekai world instantly, well to be honest finding logic might not be the best prospective here and just enjoy what the Author and Mappa is offering and putting up on the table for us.
The summary of “Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill “as described in MyAnimelist goes like this
“Along with three other heroes, 27-year-old Mukouda Tsuyoshi is transported into a fantasy world to rescue a kingdom from a mysterious threat. However, it soon becomes clear that Tsuyoshi has been dragged into the summoning ritual by accident. His only skill turns out to be “Food Menu,” which allows him to open an interface where he can purchase and obtain food-related supermarket items from modern Japan. Unceremoniously booted out of the palace, Tsuyoshi sets out on his own into his new world. However, his ability to create delicious dishes unknown to this world soon pays dividends, even attracting the legendary wolf Fenrir. Fenrir is so taken in by the food that the creature immediately forms a contract with Tsuyoshi, becoming his familiar. The trailer looks awesome and the studio is unquestionable with their works so it is definitely a go to watch in this winter. As discussed above this anime have an Isekai theme with Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy and Gourmet in its Genre tags. Source material is Manga.

5. Spy Classroom
Last two seasons we witnessed a wholesome family anime that is SpyxFamily and with a successful 1st season the 2nd season of the anime has also announced but in the later seasons of 2023. But this discussion is about the show who’s title matches 50% of the SpyxFamily and that is Spy Classroom. Well Spy Classroom only holds the impression of the previous wholesome anime but is totally different and is a Harem themed anime.
The story summarisation of Spy Classroom in the MyAnimeList goes like this

Unfortunately this anime also doesn’t have official global licensor except HIDIVE which is region specific or you can always turn towards the third party community streaming channels.
